Saffron Lips is an R&B / Soul Duo made up of Voltaire Wade-Greene & Stephanie Jae Park
The duo started writing music together at the top of the pandemic in March 2020. Having met on the 1st National Tour of Hamilton, the two discovered their love for songwriting while experimenting with their different influences. Voltaire, the producer of Saffron Lips, brings a throwback groove to the album with influences such as Michael Jackson, Bad Rabbits, and James Brown. Stephanie, the singer of Saffron Lips, brings a raw vulnerability with her vocal background in classical, jazz, musical theatre, and pop music. Together, the duo creates a unique gumbo that feels both familiar and brand new at the same time.
STEPHANIE JAE PARK is a professional theatre actor, and has performed in major musicals on Broadway and on tour, such as Hamilton (Eliza), The King and I, War Paint, and Cinderella. Coming from a classical singing background, Stephanie also pulls her influences from Ella Fitzgerald, Mariah Carey, Sumi Jo, and Alicia Keys.
VOLTAIRE WADE-GREENE comes from the concert dance world, and exploded onto Broadway in the original Broadway cast of Hamilton as the dance captain / swing. He strongly influenced the choreography in Hamilton, and you can see his original choreography in Saffron Lips’ music videos, “Cincinnati,” and “Deadline.”
In 2022, their debut album, “Fire to My Air”, hit #1 in Pre-Order on the R&B charts & was released by No Reverse Records.
